Stimulants increase a gland’s activity, causing it to overwork. A person may feel temporarily better when using a stimulant, but it eventually wears the gland down. How long should I take Adrenal Rebuilder™?
This depends upon overall health, genetic strength of the adrenal glands, lifestyle, and how completely Dr. Wilson’s Program for Adrenal Fatigue & Stress is being followed. Typically, people doing the whole program see definite results within a month to six weeks.* However, individual cases may vary substantially. Assuming the lifestyle changes suggested in the book Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century Stress Syndrome have been made, the usual time to complete adrenal health is 6-24+ months, depending on how fatigued the adrenal glands are at the start of the program.* It is important to realize that optimal health is possible. Many people give up before they give themselves a chance to get the full benefit because they have a set back or two, or for some other reason. We have seen healthy adrenal function established too many times to doubt that it is doable for almost anyone.* The answer to this question then should probably be: as long as it takes for you to attain optimal adrenal health. Does Adrenal Rebuilder™ lose its effectiveness with continued use?
No. We have no evidence or indication that continued use of Adrenal Rebuilder™ causes any body process to become inactive or less effective. In fact, the opposite seems to happen. Can I take too much Adrenal Rebuilder™?
Because Adrenal Rebuilder™ contains nutritive glandular concentrates without hormones, taking more than the recommended amount has no direct adverse effect on your body that we know of. However, taking more than about 12 caplets per day probably will not increase its effectiveness. Although it is not intended to be a pet supplement, we have had 3 calls from people whose dogs have eaten an entire bottle of Adrenal Rebuilder™ without any adverse effects. One woman called to order more because her dog ate the full bottle of Adrenal Rebuilder™ the day she received it. She called again, shortly after receiving the 2nd bottle, to order a third because her dog had eaten the second entire bottle. Can I take Adrenal Rebuilder™ with prescription or non-prescription medicines?
Adrenal Rebuilder™ contains nutritive glandular concentrates, not hormones, so it should not interfere with medications. However, everybody is slightly different, so good judgment and careful observation should be used when this or any other supplement is taken with medications. Note that corticosteroid (cortical steroid) medications such as pharmaceutical cortisol, cortisone, prednizone, prednisolone, and dexamethazone decrease the output of natural cortisol by the adrenal glands proportionate to the amount of steroid taken.
