Healthy Tofu Recipe
Healthy Recipe for Tofu and Carrots
This tasty tofu vegetarian recipe makes a nourishing breakfast or lunch,
or served with brown rice and mixed green vegetables, is a healthy light dinner
that's easy to digest.
Healthy Recipe Ingredients & Instruction:
- 2 medium carrots (preferably organically grown)
- 8 oz. firm tofu (preferably from organically grown soybeans)
- 2 tsp. virgin olive oil
- soy sauce
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Wash carrots with a scrub brush (do not peel) and grate.
- Pat tofu dry and chop into ¼ inch cubes.
- Heat oil in a medium size frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Add carrots to frying pan and stir to distribute evenly.
- Sautee uncovered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add tofu to pan and stir gently.
- Sautee uncovered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in approximately 1 tsp. soy sauce and ½ tsp Worcestershire Sauce
(or to taste) and add 1 tbsp. water.
- Cover pan and cook on medium low heat for 15 minutes.
