Breakfast Smoothies Recipe

Healthy Recipe for Breakfast Smoothies!

Breakfast smoothies are a great way to get some easy to digest protein and immune boosters into kids (or adults) in the morning rush.

  • 1½ cups unsweetened frozen fruit (berries, bananas, pineapple, peaches, mango or any combination)
  • 2 tbsp. natural protein powder (whey or hemp types are good)
  • ½ - 1 tsp. Super Immune Space Sprinkles™ (immune booster from Future Formulations)
  • ½ tsp. lactobacillus acidophilus powder or 2 tbsp. natural plain yogurt (goat's is best)
  • 1 cup goats milk, rice milk, or soy milk
  • Xylitol, honey, maple syrup, or other natural sweetener

Put all the ingredients, except sweetener, in a blender and process until smooth. If too thick, add a little more milk. Sweeten to taste. How much sweetener you need depends on how sweet the fruit is - bananas or pineapple usually need none and berries vary. Pour into 2 tall glasses, add a straw and decorate with a piece of fresh fruit in season. This smoothy does not keep and should be served immediately.

Makes 2 large smoothies, perfect for a tasty breakfast treat!
